The Cottage » Blog

About 7 years ago I was asked to attend a fellow homeschool mom’s 7th birth and take pictures for her so she and her husband could focus on welcoming their sweet baby girl but still have it documented for them.  I was instantly smitten with birth photography and started drinking up everything I could about it.  As I pursued photography in that field, other opportunities came my way, and births turned into newborns and 1 year olds, friends started calling for family portraits, and that turned into a few weddings and senior portraits.  About a million images, some bumps and bruises, a (5th!) baby of my own, and a ton of word of mouth, and I find myself today running a full business!

Because of loyal clients who have shared their images with friends and family, that excitement and growth has turned into The Cottage.  Just in the last month, I have found space for The Cottage in quaint, little, down-town Hogansville, where we call home.  I have become a member of Pioneer at the Station, a co-working environment in the former police station with other creative entrepreneurs.

Pioneer has a vision for the revitalization of Hogansville, and I am excited to be in the middle of that activity!  Please check out their story and catch this exciting vision with them!  This hip, urban, renovated station houses my little Cottage, and you’re always welcome!
